BeatJosh helps Australians get to grips with how much tax we pay and what it gets spent on. Given the ongoing debates about the effectiveness of our democracy, jobs, infrastructure, surplus versus deficit, free trade agreements, progressive taxation, climate change, "big" or "small" government, education, health and social welfare, I reckon it's worth spending five minutes on. If it helps us all make wiser decisions at the ballot box and ask better questions of our representatives, then mission accomplished.
